Wagner College Athletics

Tony Jones enters his third season in the Seahawk program after transferring from Penn State in 2011 where he was a walk-on. Jones has seen valuable time on special teams and looks to continue in that role while vying for a spot in the Wagner two-deep.

2012: Appeared in six games for the Seahawks in 2012, primarily on special teams, recording  a tackle against Albany (11/3) and Duquesne (11/17) ... … Earned a spot on the 2012 NEC Fall Academic Honor Roll.
 
2011: Appeared in seven games during his redshirt freshman season … Recorded four tackles on the year … Tallied two tackles at Robert Morris (11/12) … Had one tackle each against Saint Francis (PA) in the 38-28 season-opening win (9/3) and vs. Georgetown (10/8) … Earned a spot on the 2011 NEC Fall Academic Honor Roll.

Personal/Bio: Played for Coach Steve Carol at Baldwin Senior HS ... Mid-year transfer who took part in Spring Practice 2011 ... Had the prestigious honor of being selected to the New York All-Academic Team.
