Wagner College Athletics

2022 (Senior): Appeared in and started all 12 games… Scored five goals on the year and was second on the team with six assists… Scooped up 17 ground balls... Had a season-high three ground balls on 3/1 at Monmouth and 4/2 vs. Sacred Heart.

2021 (Junior): Made seven appearances with one start during the year… tied for second on the team in assists (seven)… handed out an assist in season opener against LIU (2/27)… dished out another assist, adding a ground ball against Hofatra (3/02)… recorded two assists and a ground ball against Saint Joseph’s (3/08)… recorded an assist against Merrimack (3/13) and Bryant (3/21)… recorded an assist and two ground balls in win over Sacred Heart (4/21).

2020 (Sophomore): Started all six of his appearances in first season as a Seahawk… third on the team with seven goals, fourth with eight points… scored season-high four goals, added an assist, caused a turnover and grabbed three ground balls in season-opener at Hofstra (2/08)… scored a goal and added a ground ball in three straight games against LIU (2/15), Manhattan (2/22) and Monmouth (2/25).

2019 (Freshman at Syracuse University):
Did not appear in any games for the Orange as a freshman.

Before Wagner: First Team All-State selection as a senior, two-time All-New Jersey honoree and three-time All-Conference selection at New Providence High School … First Team All-State and unanimous Conference Player of the Year as a senior after tallying 62 goals, 21 assists and 78 ground balls…  totaled 145 goals, 75 assists and 187 ground balls throughout his New Providence career… Played in the Maverick Showtime All Star Game and the Gill Gibbs Senior All-Star Game … Team captain his senior year.

Personal: Son of Dave and Jeanne Lawton… mother was a University of Rhode Island field hockey player, father was a Bates College rugby player… has two younger siblings, Connor and Cara… cousin Ryan Norton was a kicker for the Syracuse football team… favorite actors are Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell.
