2023 (Graduate Season): First Team All-NEC, finished first in the nation with a 0.563 save percentage. Third highest amount of saves in a single season (183). Finishes her career with 558 career saves, second in program history. The West Islip, NY native finished second in the NEC in goals against average, save percentage and saves per game. DiStefano’s 9.89 goals against average ranks 20th in the nation while her 3.21 ground balls per game ranks seventh in the nation.

2022 (Senior Season): Started 17 out of 18 games in goal for Wagner, stopped 173 shots and tallied. .497 save percentage. Named NEC Defensive Player of the Week three times and was named to the NEC All-Conference Second Team. Tallied her 300th career save at LIU on March 30.

2021 (Junior Season): Started all 15 games in goal, one of six players to start every game during the year… third on the team in ground balls (37)… stopped at least 10 shots six times, posted a .600 save percentage (or better) five times… stopped 12 shots with a .800 save percentage in win over LIU (3/10)… recorded 10 saves and a .625 save percentage in win over Bryant (3/13)… stopped eight shots, grabbed four ground balls, and caused three turnovers in win over Merrimack (3/20)… stopped 10 shots, scooped three ground balls, and forced a pair of turnovers in second win over LIU (4/21)… stopped 12 shots and grabbed three ground balls in NEC Semifinal win (5/05).

2020 (Sophomore Season): Started all seven games and played all 420 minutes in net as a sophomore… third on the team with 18 ground balls… made 12 saves and set season-highs with five ground balls and two caused turnovers in season opener against Vanderbilt (2/09)… earned first win of the season against Quinnipiac, making eight saves (2/15)… stopped career-high 16 shots against Hofstra (2/18)… made eight saves in wins over Vermont (2/23) and Colgate (2/29).

2019 (Freshman Season): Appeared between the pipes in six games as a freshman for the Seahawks… made three saves in 15:29 and scooped a ground ball in win over Central Connecticut State (4/20)… made season-high five saves in 15:53 and added a ground ball in NCAA Tournament win over Fairfield (5/7)

Before Wagner: Lauren DiStefano is a 2018 graduate of West Islip High School where she was a two-sport athlete in lacrosse and field hockey … Member of the All-Rookie team, All-Division, and All-Tournament teams as a freshman … All-Division as a junior captain and voted MVP by the West Islip High School Coaches Association … Voted All-County as a junior and senior as well as Newsday’s Long Island First team in her senior year … Recipient of the Joseph Sabasteanski Award for Outstanding Team Sport Performer and Athletic Achievement Award … Helped team to a Suffolk County and Long Island Championship … In her senior season, made 140 saves while posting a .521 save percentage and 7.05 goals against average … Has completed over 200 hours of community service … Chose Wagner for the opportunities in New York City … Daughter of Richard and Maureen DiStefano … Has one brother, Matthew.
