Northeast Conference (NEC) All-Rookie Team (2018)

2018 (Freshman Season): Competed in six races during the season... Placed among the top-10 at the Monmouth University XC Tune-Up (10/19), in which he crossed the finish line with a time of 16:07.8... Had a pair of top-20 performances in back-to-back meets, finishing 17th at the Henry Mercer Invitational (9/22) and the Highlander XC Challenge (10/6)... Was among the top-25 harriers at the NEC Cross Country Championship (10/27), placing 21st with a time of 27:18.7 en route to earning All-NEC Rookie Team honors.

Before Wagner:  Attended Susan E. Wagner where he was a three-year member of both the Falcons cross country and track & field programs… Three-time State Championship qualifier… Four-year member of the Honor Roll… In his junior season, ran 10:05 in the two mile and 17:22 in the 5K… His senior year, lowered his time in the two to 9:53 and 16:52 in the 5K… Led his squad to the 2017 PSAL Indoor Track and Field championship… In 2018, the Falcons won the cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field titles… Hasn’t declared a major at Wagner… Son of Louis and Diana Hernandez… Has two siblings, Daniel and Lauren.
