PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — The Wagner College field hockey team dropped its non-conference matchup at CAA member Drexel by a score of 7-0 at Buckley Field on Friday.
The Seahawks (0-5, 0-0 NEC) earned four penalty corners in the first quarter compared to just one for Drexel. Throughout the entire game, Wagner attempted six penalty corners while holding the Dragons (4-1, 0-0 CAA) to their lone first quarter attempt.
Drexel attempted 12 shots with 10 on target; concurrently, Wagner took nine shots with seven on target.
In the cage, freshman Miley Brezgel and senior Mia DiGenova split duties and combined for three saves. With Brezgel recording two saves and DiGenova one.
Offensively, senior Floortje Leunisse and sophomore Julia de Leeuw both attempted two shots on target.
Next up, the Green & White head to No. 19 Monmouth on Sunday, Sept. 13 for a noon start on So Sweet A Cat.
