Men's Water Polo Announces 2026 Schedule

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Wagner College head coach Josh Hower has announced the full 2026 schedule for the Seahawks' upcoming campaign.

Competing in 27 games against 21 teams this 2026 season, the Seahawks are coming off a 12-18 campaign in 2025, including a 4-8 record in Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference play, finishing fourth in the conference.

The season will commence on Friday, August 28 at the Bruno Classic, where Wagner will take on CBU at 12:30 p.m. and UC Davis at 5 p.m. in a pair of games to kick-off the weekend. On Saturday, the Seahawks will square off against Brown at 10 a.m. and LIU at 2 p.m. before wrapping up the weekend on Sunday, where they will face MIT at 10:30 a.m. and Harvard at 2:30 p.m.
 
Wagner will return to the road for the Princeton Invite on Friday, September 11, where the Seahawks will take on San Jose at 12:30 p.m. and Santa Clara at 5 p.m. To close out the weekend, Wagner will face Saint Mary's on Saturday morning at 8 a.m.
 
Following the Princeton Invite, the Seahawks will compete in the Bucknell Invite, opening the weekend against Salem on Saturday, September 19, at 7 p.m. before beginning conference play against Bucknell on Sunday at 11 a.m. and Mercyhurst at 3 p.m.
 
The Seahawks will then head out west for the Rare Air Challenge, hosted by Air Force. Wagner will open the weekend on Saturday, September 26 against UCSB at 1 p.m. MDT (3 p.m. EDT) before concluding the day against Augustana at 4 p.m. MDT (6 p.m. EDT). On Sunday, the Seahawks will take on Biola at 8 a.m. MDT (10 a.m. EDT) before wrapping up the challenge against Air Force at noon MDT (2 p.m. EDT).
 
Wagner will then return to Grymes Hill for its first home game of the season and final non-conference contest on Friday, October 2, when the Seahawks host Iona at 6:30 p.m. Returning to conference play, the Seahawks will then hit the road on Friday, October 9 to face Fordham at 6:30 p.m.
 
Back on Staten Island, Wagner will begin a six-game home stretch against Navy on Sunday, October 11, at 10 a.m. before facing George Washington at 4 p.m.
 
The home stretch continues the following weekend on Saturday, October 17 with three conference matchups, beginning with Mount St. Mary's at 10:30 a.m. and Bucknell at 4 p.m. The Green & White will then close out the weekend against Mercyhurst on Sunday, October 18, as the Seahawks celebrate Senior Day.
 
Wagner will close out its six-game stretch at home against Fordham on Saturday, October 24, at noon.
The Seahawks will close out the regular season on the road with three conference contests on November 7-8. Wagner will face George Washington at 10 a.m. and Navy at 5 p.m. on Saturday before wrapping up the regular season against Mount St. Mary's on Sunday at 1 p.m.

The MAWPC Championships will begin Friday, November 20 and will conclude Sunday, November 22, hosted by Bucknell. In 2025, the Seahawks took a 21-13 win over No. 4 Bucknell in the opener before taking a pair of losses to No. 1 Fordham and No. 2 Navy to finish fourth. Wagner will open up the season at the end of the month on Friday, August 28, where they will face CBU at 12:30 p.m. as part of the Bruno Classic.
