LEXINGTON, Ky. — Junior Jack Mason and senior Christopher Milillo rounded out their 2026 season at the NCAA East Regional, competing in long jump, triple jump and hammer throw.
Mason competed in long jump on Wednesday, May 27 then returned to the UK Outdoor Track & Field Complex on Friday, May 29 for triple jump. Long jump began at 6 p.m. EDT with Mason slotted for flight three.
The junior was 0.05m off the qualifying mark for the NCAA National Championships, logging a 7.62m jump to finish 17th of 47 competitors. In Friday's triple jump, Mason posted a 14.88m jump out of flight two to finish 37th in the field of 45.
Milillo competed on Wednesday as well, with start times moved up an hour due to potential inclement weather. Beginning at 9 a.m. EDT with four flights scheduled, Milillo competed in flight two and logged a 61.26-meter throw to ultimately finish 35th in the field of 45.
The pair mark the first NCAA Regional qualifiers under head coach Marvin Azor, who was named NEC Men's Coach of the Year for outdoor season after leading the Seahawks to an NEC Championship.
With that, the 2025-2026 Wagner Athletics calendar comes to a close until the 2026-2027 year picks up in August.
