BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Wagner College men's lacrosse junior goalkeeper Angus Snow has been named the NEC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season following a 20-save outing against Mercyhurst, announced by the conference on Monday.
Against the Lakers, Snow recorded three ground balls, one caused turnover, and a save percentage of 76.9% to go along with his career-best 20 saves. Eight of Snow's 20 saves were earned during the fourth quarter and overtime periods.
As a team, Snow and the defense in front of him allowed just six goals for the second time this year in the win. Wagner took down Mercyhurst 7-6 on Saturday after defeating Hampton 14-6 in early March.
For Snow, this is the goalkeeper's second NEC Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season. Snow saved 17 shots in the Seahawks' 14-6 win at Hampton to receive his first distinction in early March.
On the year, Snow has saved 107 shots with a save percentage of 54.0%, with a 4-5 record across 455 minutes in net.
With 20 saves, Snow becomes one of three NEC goalkeepers to record a 20-save game during the 2026 season.
Along with Snow, sophomore Cole Yoshioka was named an NEC Prime Performer for the second time this year after picking up six ground balls and causing a team-high three turnovers to help anchor a Seahawks defense in their 7-6 overtime win over Mercyhurst.
Next up, Snow, Yoshioka, and the rest of the Seahawks head to Cleveland State for a conference matchup with the Vikings on Saturday, April 4. The opening face-off between the Seahawks and Vikings is set for noon.
