Francesca Sena and junior attacker Ana Arias Pérez have been named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, respectively, following standout performances during Wagner's conference matchups this past week.
Sena anchored the Seahawks defensively across three contests, delivering an impressive all-around performance in goal. In Wagner's matchup against LIU, the senior recorded 11 saves, two assists, and one steal. She followed with another strong outing against Villanova, tallying 12 saves and six assists. Sena closed out the week with 10 saves and one steal against La Salle. Overall, she totaled eight assists, 33 saves, and two steals across the three games.
On the offensive end, Arias Pérez led the Seahawks with a dominant and consistent scoring presence throughout the week. The junior opened with two goals, one assist, one earned exclusion, and three steals against LIU. She followed with an eight-goal performance against Villanova, adding two assists, two earned exclusions, and six steals. Arias Pérez wrapped up the week with two goals, four assists, one earned exclusion, and six steals in Wagner's victory over La Salle. In total, she recorded 12 goals, seven assists, four earned exclusions, and 15 steals across the three contests.
