Francesca Sena have been named MAAC Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, after standout performances at the Harvard Invite.
Sena anchored the Seahawks defensively across three contests, delivering a dominant all-around weekend in goal. The senior captain opened play against Bucknell with one assist, two steals, and six saves. She followed with three assists, two steals, and six saves in Wagner's overtime victory against Brown. Sena capped the weekend with an exceptional 22-save performance against Marist, adding two steals and forcing two turnovers. Overall, she totaled four assists, six steals, 34 saves, and two turnovers across the three matches.
On the offensive end, Ogg led the Seahawks with consistent production throughout the invite. The senior attacker recorded two goals and drew two exclusions in the win over Bucknell. She followed with a three-goal, two-assist, one-steal performance while drawing an exclusion in Wagner's thrilling overtime victory against Brown. Ogg closed the weekend with four goals and eight steals against Marist. In total, she finished with nine goals, two assists, nine steals, and three drawn exclusions over three games.
Up Next: Wagner continues its season with a trip to California for the Claremont Convergence on March 6–7. The Seahawks open tournament play on Friday, March 6 against LMU at 11:30 a.m. PT (2:30 p.m. ET) at Haldeman Pool, followed by a later matchup against Arizona State at 5:45 p.m. PT (8:45 p.m. ET) at Axelrood Pool. On Saturday, March 7, Wagner returns to Haldeman Pool to face Pomona-Pitzer at 12:15 p.m. PT (3:15 p.m. ET) before closing the weekend against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at 4:00 p.m. PT (7:00 p.m. ET) at Axelrood Pool.
