Ryan Liszner Earns NEC Special Teams Player of the Week Honors

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — The NEC announced on Monday that senior kicker Ryan Liszner has been named NEC Special Teams Player of the Week following his performance against Princeton on Saturday.

With the selection, Liszner earns his second career NEC Special Teams Player of the Week honor, with his first coming during his freshman season in 2023.

Liszner handled both field goal and kickoff duties for the Seahawks in Saturday's non-conference matchup against Princeton.

The senior connected on both of his field goal attempts, converting from 39 and 38 yards to improve his season field goal percentage to 75 percent (3-for-4), tied for third best in the conference.

Liszner put Wagner on the board midway through the opening quarter with a 39-yard field goal before adding a 38-yarder in the closing seconds of the first half.

On kickoffs, the New Jersey native totaled 167 yards on three attempts, averaging 55.7 yards per kickoff while recording two touchbacks.

Liszner and the Seahawks return to action on Saturday, Oct. 17, when Wagner hosts conference rival LIU as part of Wagner Homecoming Weekend. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. at Hameline Field, with live coverage available on NEC Front Row.
