STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Wagner returned to the track on Friday, Jan. 9 in its first meet of 2026, posting strong times at the Spartan Invite.
The highlight of the meet was a program record 4x200 relay, a 1:27.96 time to lead all teams.
In the cages, senior Christopher Milillo won the weight throw on his sixth attempt, logging an 18.01m mark to win the vent by over two meters.
In the 200m dash, freshman Noah Grant won the event, with a field of 94 runners, with a 21.47-second time.
Junior Jack Mason won long jump with a 7.29m mark, as well as finishing second in triple jump with a 14.28m performance. Junior Khalid Brown finished fifth with a 6.63m jump of his own.
Junior Shawn Keegan finished second in the 60m dash, running a 6.94-second time to finish two-tenths of a second behind the winner.
Freshman Matthew Campbell (12.02m) and sophomore Matthew Menechino (11.79m) rounded out Wagner's contingent in the triple jump with 12th- and 13th-place finishes, respectively. Menechino logged a 5.98m long jump, while Campbell followed with a 5.48m long jump.
Sophomore Jaden Hobbs finished 13th in the 200m with a 22.68-second finish. Junior Jonathan Carman ran a 23.11 time.
Freshman Ersell McCullen finished fourth in the 60m hurdles with a personal-best 8.73-second time. Wagner's other competitor in the event, freshman Chase Rogers, finished tenth with an 8.97 time. McCullen also ran a 23.25-second 200m dash.
Senior Dante Rodney finished ninth in the 400m with a 50.87 time, followed closely by Rogers with a 51.29-second time to finish 13th.
Next up, the Seahawks will host the Wagner College Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 17 at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
