BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – Wagner football redshirt-freshman Alim Parks Jr. has been named the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week following his standout performance at Central Michigan, the league office announced Monday.

A native of Egg Harbor City, N.J., Parks Jr. recorded nine total tackles and forced a fumble that was recovered by the Seahawks. Through two games this season, he has totaled 12 tackles along with one forced fumble.

Parks Jr. becomes the first Seahawk to earn NEC Rookie of the Week honors since Jaylen Bonelli, who claimed the award four times in 2023, and the first Wagner defensive player to do so since Titus Leo in 2018.

He and the Seahawks return to Hameline Field on Saturday, September 27, hosting Norfolk State in a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.
