LEWISBURG, P.A. – The Wagner men's water polo team delivered a record-breaking offensive performance and battled one of the league's top teams during their two-game invite at the Bucknell Invitational this weekend.
Game 1 Results: Wagner 30 – Mercyhurst 12
The Seahawks set a school-record of 30 goals in their Saturday morning opener against Mercyhurst, powering past the Lakers. Wagner raced out to a 10-2 lead after the first quarter and never looked back, building a 15-6 halftime cushion.

Laszlo Strasser scored the most goals during the first quarter, finding the back of the net a total of 3 times. The team took the lead with the help from freshman

Gabe Johnson, who scored one goal each, finishing 10-2 at the end of the quarter.
Freshman
Jacob Troy scored at the beginning of the second quarter, being it his first goal of the season and making the move to keep leading the game. The green and white entered halftime with a 15-6 lead.
Kerry, Connors, Troy, Aguilera, Johnson and freshman
Aksel Gerhardstein, each, scored a goal during the third quarter, maintaining the leading pace and staying ahead of the Lakers 21-9.
During the last quarter Gerhardstein added three, while freshman
Toby Zeeck and Castillo added two more goals each. Additional goals came from freshman
Jackson McGuckin and freshman
Senan Noonan.
Wagner's 30-goal outburst shattered the previous program single-game scoring record and highlighted the team's offensive depth.

Game 2 Results: Wagner 12 – Bucknell 14
On Sunday, Wagner faced host Bucknell in a tightly contested matchup that came down to the wire. The first quarter ended in a 2-2 tie, with
Nadav Carmon providing the early and only scoring.
The Bison used a second-quarter run to edge ahead 6-5 at halftime. Wagner responded in the third with two goals from Strasser to stay within striking distance, trailing 10-7 heading into the fourth.
The Seahawks continued to fight in the final frame as Strasser found twice the back of the net again and, Castillo and Carmon, added their third goal of the match, but Bucknell held on for a 14-12 win.
