Alana Arjona Called Up To Dominican Republic U-20 National Team

Staten Island, NY – Wagner women's soccer rising sophomore Alana Arjona has been called up to the U-20 Dominican Republic Women's National Team training camp.

Arjona becomes the first Seahawk since Caitlin Filja (Albania, 2021) to receive a national team call-up.

She will participate in the camp from Monday, June 23 to Wednesday, July 2, and is set to compete in two international friendlies against the U-20 Mexican National Team.

"This is an incredible opportunity for Alana to represent her country," said Wagner head coach Phil Casella. "Any time a player has the chance to wear their national team jersey, it's a moment that gives you goosebumps. Alana has truly made a name for herself, and this 10-day camp will allow her to train alongside other top collegiate and national players. We wish her the best of luck—we're so proud of her!"

Arjona earned All-NEC Rookie Team honors during the 2024 season, scoring three goals—including two game-winners—across 707 minutes of play. She was also named NEC Rookie of the Week once during the year.
