New York, NY - The Wagner College women's lacrosse team completed its 2025 non-conference slate with a loss to Ivy League member Columbia on Robert K. Kraft Field at Lawrence A. Wien Stadium on Wednesday night.
With the loss, the Seahawks fall to 3-6 on their season while the Lions climb to 4-7 on their 2025 campaign.
Wagner and Columbia would trade goals during the first half of the first quarter, as the score sat at 2-2 with 6:15 to play in the opening period.
Columbia would go on a 6-2 run for the remainder of the half to lead, 8-4, heading into the intermission.
In the second half, the Lions scored the first four goals as the Seahawks would respond with three unanswered goals of their own.
Senior Katie Siverson would add her team-leading 20th goal of her 2025 season with 5:05 remaining in the game to make it a 14-8 score in favor of Columbia.
The Lions' Dylan Silar added the finishing touches as Columbia would prevail over Wagner, 15-8.
Individually, junior Kristiano Pisano led the Seahawks with three points on two goals and one assist. Sophomore Amelia Logan also added three points by scoring one goal and dishing out two assists.
Siverson scored two goals to add two points, three draw controls, and two ground balls against the Lions. Senior Ella Marino, senior Sophia Colver, and freshman Sydney Mulroony all scored one goal a piece. Mulroony also added two draw controls and two ground balls to her game stat-line.
Sophomore Léa Cini added one point with one assist during the fourth quarter.
Junior Erin Rooney caused a team-high three turnovers for the Green & White while adding three ground balls. Rooney leads the Seahawks in collected ground balls this season with 19.
Senior Angelina Skowronski chipped in four ground balls and two caused turnovers while freshman Brighid Smith also added four ground balls.
In net, sophomore Grace DeCarolis saved eight shots in 60 minutes of action. On the season, the Ridley, PA native has recorded 86 saves.
Next up, the Seahawks will continue Northeast Conference (NEC) play against the Le Moyne Dolphins on Saturday, April 5. Opening draw control is scheduled for noon on Hameline Field.
