Staten Island, NY - The Wagner College women's lacrosse team took down Northeast Conference (NEC) affiliate Howard by a score of 16-6 on Hameline Field on Saturday morning to earn its seventh straight conference win.
The Seahawks jumped out to an early 9-1 lead after the first quarter of play thanks to the Seahawks putting 11 shots on target. Wagner also collected seven draw controls compared to the Bison's four draw controls.
Juniors Léa Cini, and Kristina Pisano and seniors Katie Siverson, Ella Marino, Sophia Colver, Kendra Hall, and Kendall Tabobandung were responsible for the Seahawks first quarter display of offense. Marino and Colver both scored two goals in the opening frame.
In the second quarter, the Green & White scored twice while holding Howard scoreless to extend their lead, 11-1, heading into halftime.
Ella Marino completed her fourth consecutive hat-trick just 16:28 into the contest, while Katie Siverson found the back of the net for the second time with 10:17 to go in the second quarter.
In the third quarter, both Wagner and Howard scored three goals, as the Seahawks went into the final frame with a 14-4 advantage.
Kendall Tabobandung recorded her first multi-goal game of the 2025 campaign and the second of her career. Tabobandung has tallied nine points in her last three games, scoring four goals and dishing out five assists against Delaware State, CCSU, and Howard.
Sophomore Sydney Ecker was set up by Hall midway through the third period for her third goal in Ecker's last two appearances after scoring two goals at CCSU last weekend.
Ella Marino scored her fourth goal of the contest with just over two minutes to go in the period. Marino has accounted for 22 points in her last four games, scoring 17 goals and dishing out five assists during the span.
In the final period of play, freshman Kayla Deveau scored her first collegiate goal on a free-position shot with 9:48 remaining in the game.
Siverson finished the game off for the Seahawks with her fourth hat-trick of the 2025 season, scoring with five minutes remaining.
Defensively, senior Angelina Skowronski collected five ground balls and caused four turnovers. Graduate student Ryan Murphy collected four draw controls and two ground balls.
In goal, sophomore Grace DeCarolis and senior Bryn Bockstie split duties in net, as both saved three shots. DeCarolis played for 41:23 as Bockstie came in in the third quarter and recorded 18:37 of gametime.
As a team, the Seahawks put 15 more shots on target, collected seven ground balls, and committed seven less turnovers than the Bison.
Next up, Wagner will host Mercyhurst on Saturday, April 26 at 12:00 pm with its 'Senior Day' ceremony happening roughly a half-an-hour prior to the opening draw control.
