Wagner College Athletics Re-Introduces Tailgating for the 2024 Football Season

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Wagner College Athletics is pleased to announce the re-introduction of tailgating during the 2024 football season. Please see below for information on how to claim your spot in Tailgate Alley and the expectations for our Wagner faithful during the season! 

Hours of Operation

  • The Stadium Lot opens three hours prior to kickoff. All tailgaters must arrive and setup before two hours prior to kickoff. At the conclusion of the game, tailgaters have one hour to depart the parking lot.
  • Tailgating spaces must be cleaned and fully vacated following the end of the game.
 
Pricing
  • $30 – access to "Tailgate Alley" that includes two parking spots
  • $20 – general admission parking in the center of the Stadium Lot. No tailgating is allowed in this area.
  • $10 – upgrade fee for our season ticket holders and Touchdown Club members that would like access to "Tailgate Alley"
     
Tailgate Expectations
  • Tailgating is reserved to two parking spaces per vehicle in the Stadium Lot. Tailgating is not permitted outside of the designated tailgating area as indicated and directed by Campus Safety. For reference, this area includes the perimeter spots of the Stadium Lot.
  • To ensure a safe tailgating environment for all of our fans, your car will be given wristbands to distinguish between tailgaters that are 21+ and those that are underage.
  • If you are arriving with friends or family that you intend to tailgate with, please coordinate your arrival to the Stadium Lot together to ensure you can receive parking spaces that are together.
  • There will be a designated student tailgating section. Students must be contained within the parking space area at all times. This section is reserved to the 10 spots in the back-left corner of the Stadium Lot. Students who wish to bring their vehicles are permitted to do so at the normal rate of $30. Student organizations interested in tailgating should contact Student Engagement and Activities - sea@wagner.edu.
  • The preparation and consumption of food is limited to personal use. No food may be sold at tailgating activities unless approved by Wagner College.
  • All guests are responsible for properly disposing of trash into the proper receptacles.
  • The consumption and possession of alcohol is permissible ONLY in the designated tailgating area.
  • It is prohibited for a person under 21 years of age to possess or consume alcohol. Anyone furnishing alcohol to minors may be subject to arrest by police and/or removal from the premises.
  • Guests are allowed to play music at a reasonable volume - no bands/live music are permitted.
  • Unruly or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and is subject to Wagner College policies and local/state/federal law. Visitors are expected to be respectful of all those associated with the event, including participants, coaches, officials, administrators, and other fans. Racial, sexist, homophobic, or other derogatory comments, including profanity, or other intimidating actions will not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the premises.
 
Prohibited Items
  • Bonfires, camp fires, open flames, oil-based cooking or frying, and other heating devices
  • Glass bottles or kegs
  • Drones, kites, or other remote controlled or tethered flying objects
  • As a reminder, no outside food and/or beverages are allowed inside the stadium once tailgating has concluded
