Last Time Out
Wagner dropped its second consecutive Northeast Conference (NEC) contest with a 76-60 defeat to Saint Francis U at the Spiro Sports Center on Thursday night.
Graduate student Taleah Washington led the way for Wagner with 17 points, Washington also tallied five rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block. Junior Rakisha Ballinger chipped in with 15 points on 7-14 shooting from the field. Ballinger grabbed five rebounds and two steals.
Freshman Kiera Edmonds netted 10 points while bringing in 10 rebounds.
Kiera Edmonds Continues To Impress
Kiera Edmonds notched her second-career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds against Saint Francis U in Wagner's last contest. Eight out of Edmonds' 10 rebounds were offensive. Over the last eight games, Edmonds has recorded at least two offensive boards per game.
The Brooklyn, NY native earned her first career double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds against CCSU back on January 27. Edmonds has scored in double figures in six out of the last eight games and in three consecutive games.
Edmonds is averaging 10.1 points and 6.8 rebounds over the last eight games.
Welcome Back, Julia
Senior Julia Fabozzi made her return to the floor after having ACL surgery on August 4. Last season, Fabozzi appeared in all 28 games while making 17 starts.
The Staten Island, NY native averaged 7.2 points and 3.8 rebounds during the 2022-23 season.
Noo The Glue
Taleah "Noo" Washington ranks second in the NEC with 3.6 assists per contest.
Washington scored a career-high 29 points against LIU on January 8, the most for a Seahawk since Emilija Krista Grava poured in 32 back on March 5, 2021.
Washington leads the Seahawks with 10.9 points and 4.1 assists through conference play. She ranks second on the Green & White with 5.5 rebounds through conference play.
Through eight conference appearances, Washington has recorded over five assists on four separate occasions, she also has grabbed five or more rebounds in seven out of eight conference appearances.
The District Heights, MD native has also recorded seven steals in the last four games.
Defensive DNA
The Green & White have recorded double-digit steals in nine games this season. Wagner has had multiple players record multiple steals in 14 out of 21 games this season and in seven conference contests.
Wagner ranks 54th in the nation and first in the NEC with 9.5 steals per game. The Seahawks also rank 48th in the nation and first in the NEC with 19.23 turnovers forced per game.
Rakisha Ballinger ranks 38th in the nation with 2.4 steals per game.
Scouting Sacred Heart
The reigning NEC champions sit atop the NEC standings with a 9-1 mark in conference play. Sacred Heart has won 10 out of its last 11 games dating back to non-conference play, the Pioneers are riding a six-game winning streak.
Ny'Ceara Pryor ranks first in the NEC through conference play with 19.1 points per game.

Wagner fell 83-63 to Sacred Heart on January 21 at the Spiro Sports Center.. Four Seahawks scored in double figures as freshman Drew Jordon netted a career-high 15 points.
Rakisha Ballinger chipped in 14 points on 6-12 shooting. She also had three rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
