Lewisburg, PA - The Wagner women's water polo team participated in the Bison Invitational from Saturday, February 10 to Sunday, February 11 at the Kinney Natatorium, hosted at Bucknell.
There, the Seahawks would go undefeated for the second-straight weekend, garnering wins over Bucknell and Mercyhurst on Saturday, and then Saint Francis PA and Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) opponent La Salle on Sunday
Previously, the Green & White won all four games at the Bruno Classic from Saturday, February 3 to Sunday, February 4, defeating Bucknell, #18 Harvard, #25 Pomona-Pitzer, and Brown.

Game 1 Results: #18 Wagner 11 - Bucknell 3
In the second of three meetings between these two teams, current MAAC Player of the Week junior Carlota Alonso scored the first three goals of the game, all within the four minutes of ball-drop. Senior Grace Coleman would score the next two goals for the Seahawks, as they jumped out to a 5-0 lead after one quarter. In the second, the Seahawks would extend their lead to six, as sophomore Martina Parisi and freshman Catherine Mentz would find the back of the net within the frame, and Wagner would head into halftime with a 7-1 lead.
In the third quarter, Alonso would net her fourth, as sophomore Genevieve Bland would score her first of the season late in the frame. Captain graduate student Pip Nash would also score in the third, as the Seahawks took a 10-2 lead heading into the fourth. In the fourth, both teams would score one goal, as the Green & White's came from Genevieve Bland, scoring less than a minute into the frame, to give the Seahawks a 11-3 win over the Bison.

Game 2 Results: #18 Wagner 15 - Mercyhurst 3
The Seahawks ended the first quarter up 6-0 against the Lakers. Sophomore Magali Ogg got the ball rolling for Wagner, and would also find the back of the net for a second time in the opening quarter. Alonso, Nash, junior Emma Stec, and senior Andrea Arias all scored one a piece in the first. In the second, Alonso would score twice, along with Stec scoring her second goal of the game. Parisi and junior Lizzy Koerper would score their first of the contest, as Wagner sustained a 11-0 lead heading into the third quarter.
In the second half, the Seahawks would score four goals overall, two at the hands of junior Ilayda Kocak, her first two goals of the season. Mentz and fellow freshman Maylen Sanpedeo Tarela were responsible for the other two points, as Wagner would defeat Mercyhurst, 15-3.

Game 3 Results: #18 Wagner 18 - Saint Francis 8
On the second day of competition, five Seahawks would score in the first quarter against the Red Flash. Junior captain Casey Taylor, Arias, Tarela would all score once, as senior Mar Navarro and Pip Nash would both come away with two goals in the quarter, as Wagner held a 7-2 lead after eight minutes of play. Navarro would score twice more in the second quarter, giving her four first half goals. Also in the second quarter, Andrea Arias would score goal number two and three, as Coleman and Tarela added to their weekend totals as well. At halftime, Wagner's lead swelled up to 13-6.Â
Navarro and Arias came away with goal number five and four, respectively, as Parisi and Koerper added support, granting Wagner four goals in the quarter, and a cushion of a 17-8 lead heading into the fourth quarter. With less than a minute to play, sophomore Maggie Pike netted her first of the weekend, to finish off the Red Flash, 18-8.

Game 4 Results: #18 Wagner 12 - La Salle 4
During the final game of the weekend, MAAC All-Preseason members Carlota Alonso and Andrea Arias combined for five goals in the first quarter. Both Spaniards would score once again in the second, bringing the Seahawks' halftime score to 7-2 over the Explorers.
In the third quarter, Alonso would be joined by Navarro and MAAC Rookie of the Week Ana Arias in extending Wagner's lead to 10-3 heading into the final frame. Genevieve Bland and Grace Coleman would score their third and fourth goals, respectively, of the weekend during the final stanza of competition, as Wagner would defeat La Salle, 12-4, capping off the second-straight undefeated weekend for the Green & White.

Next up, the Seahawks will travel to the DeNunzio Pool in Princeton, NJ to face-off against Bucknell and San Diego State on February 17 and February 18, respectively. Ball-drop against Princeton is set for 9:00 am, as ball-drop against San Diego State University is set for 1:00 pm.
