Piscataway, NJ - The Wagner women's basketball team will travel to Piscataway, NJ to face Rutgers on Sunday, December 15 at 2:00 PM.

The Series


The matchup marks the sixth meeting all-time between the two squads. The Scarlet Knights lead the all-time series 5-0  winning the last matchup, 86-43 on November 19 in Piscataway, NJ.


Scouting Rutgers


The Scarlet Knights are 6-4 overall and 0-1 in Big Ten play. Rutgers most recently defeated FDU 83-58 on December 11. Freshman guard Kiyomi McMiller leads Rutgers in scoring (19.6) and assists per game (4.0). McMiller scored a career-high 30 points against FDU and is averaging 25.0 points in her last three games. Senior G/F Destiny Adams leads the team in rebounds per game (10.1) and is second in scoring (19.0) Adams recorded 36 points and 15 rebounds earlier this season against NJIT.

Wagner ranks second in the NEC blocks per game (3.8). Sophomore Lijirin Doyinsola Modesayor and graduate student Julia Fabozzi are number 2 and 4 in blocks per game in the conference. Modesayor averages 1.2 blocks per
game and Fabozzi averages 0.8

Fabozzi Continues To Impress


The Staten Island native scored a career-high 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds against NJIT. Fabozzi scored the go-ahead bas- ket against NJIT to seal the game with 1.8 remaining. The graduate student has scored at least 12 points in five of her last six games. Fabozzi is fourth in the NEC in points per game (13.9) Fabozzi became the ninth Seahawk in program history to make 12 free throws in a game against Northeastern. Fabozzi returns after playing seven games last season after missing most of the year with a knee injury


The Emergence Of Keana Foz 


Keana Foz had recorded at least three steals in five games this season.Foz holds the top spot in the
NEC in steals per game (2.4). Along with being first in the conference in steals, Foz ranks fifth in assists per game (3.0), and 14th in rebounds per game (4.5). Earlier this season, Foz was named to the 2024 FIU Thanksgiving Classic All-Tournament Team Foz became the first Seahawk to score seven points, grab 10 rebounds, and dish out five assists in a game since Zhaneia Thybulle on February 11, 2023 against LIU


Kaci From Downtown


Redshirt sophomore Klea Kaci has made 12 three-pointers in her last seven games. Kaci knocked down two threes against NJIT.


Seahawks Amongst The NEC


Wagner is fourth in the conference with a three-point success rate of 31.0%, making 54 of 172 attempts. The Seahawks connect on 6.0 three-pointers per game, good for fourth in the NEC. Wagner ranks second in the NEC blocks per game (3.8).
