Staten Island, NY – Five Seahawks scored in double figures as the Wagner College men's basketball team earned a 94-52 victory over Manor College on Saturday at the Spiro Sports Center. Wagner has now won seven consecutive home openers.
Prior to the game, the Seahawks unveiled championship banners in honor of the 2024 Northeast Conference (NEC) title and the school's first-ever NCAA Tournament victory.
With the win, Wagner evens its record at 1-1 on the season, while the Blue Jays fall to 1-2.

Ja'Kair Sanchez led Wagner with 17 points off the bench, while senior
Tyje Kelton added 15 points on five three-pointers. Seniors
Javier Ezquerra and
Rahmir Moore scored 12 points apiece, while graduate student
Zae Blake contributed 11 points on the day. Ezquerra also added 10 assists for his first double-double of the young season.
The Seahawks took control early, had a 48-29 at the half, and extended the lead to over 40 points late in the second half to earn the win.
Wagner held a 33-21 advantage on the glass and turned 22 Manor turnovers into 38 points.
Next up, the Seahawks will travel to Big East member St. John's, with tip-off set for 6:30 pm on Wednesday, November 13.
