Providence, RI and Cambridge, MA - The Wagner men's water polo team earned three victories against UC Merced, Mercyhurst and Chapman at the Harvard Invite.
Game 1 Results: Wagner 10 - UC Merced 7
The Green & White opened the scoring and added another goal in the first and trailed 4-2 at the end of the quarter. The Seahawks broke out scoring three straight goals in the second quarter courtesy of two from freshman Smith Connors and one from Matt Wedlock. Sophomore Vince Varga added to the scoring with a goal 12 seconds remaining in quarter to give Wagner a 6-4 lead at the break.
Smith Connors added to his total with the opening goal of the second half. UC Merced added on two consecutive goals before senior Kyle Chambers tallied another to end the quarter. The Seahawks shut out UC Merced in the final quarter while adding on two more goals to prevail to a 10-7 victory.

Game 2 Results: Wagner 18 - Mercyhurst 12
Smith Connors got the party started for the Seahawks opening the game with back to back goals. Connors added two more goals in the quarter and Chambers netted one as Wagner led 6-3 at the end of the quarter. Connors had himself a day scoring his fifth of seven goals to start the second quarter. Wagner went on to score three more goals to take a 10-6 lead at the half.
The Green & White opened the half with back to back goals before the Lakers would add on back to back goals. Varga then found the back of the net twice to end the quarter. Both teams scored four goals a piece in the final quarter and Wagner took a 18-12 victory.

Game 3 Results: Wagner 12 - Chapman 10
The Seahawks found themselves down 0-2 before they would score twice in the quarter as they would still trail 3-2 at the end of the quarter. In the second quarter, the Green & White knotted the game at four a piece and tacked on two more goals and led 6-4 at the break.
Each team would score a goal in the third quarter and would each score five in the final quarter with Wagner taking a 12-10 victory.

Game 4 Results: Wagner 11 - #11 Harvard 21
The Seahawks found themselves down early 8-1 at the end of the first quarter to the #11 ranked Harvard Crimson. The Green & White tacked on three goals in the second quarter and trailed 15-4 at the half.
Wagner connected back to back goal to begin the second half. Chambers added another to end the quarter as the teams would score three a piece. The Seahawks outscored the Crimson 4-3 in the final quarter but ultimately fell 21-11.

Next Up: Wagner will face three MAWPC opponents, Johns Hopkins, George Washington and Navy next weekend in Maryland and Washington D.C.
