New York, NY - The Wagner women's soccer team fell to Fordham, 4-0, on Sunday afternoon, handing the team its second loss of the young season.
The Rams scored twice in both halves as junior Sam Hughes faced 20 shots on the day.
The Seahawks mustered eight shots, including two from senior Caitlin Filja. Filja and junior Emma Roe had a shot on goal apiece.
Freshman Sara Wiedeman drew her first career start, while freshman Hannah Costa made her collegiate debut, recording 64 minutes on defense. Fellow freshmen Caroline Kessler, Alana Goldsmith and Jess Maraia logged consecutive starts to open their careers with the Green & White.
After a two-game road stint to begin the season, Wagner will next take on Army at Hameline Field to open its 2023 home slate. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 24.
