Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College softball team dropped a home doubleheader against LIU on Friday. The Seahawks fell 7-2 in game two and dropped game two by a score of 6-4.

The Sharks scored at least one run in the first four innings to jump out to a 7-0 lead.
Wagner got on the board in the fourth on an RBI double by graduate student

Kate Wolf came through with an RBI single to left field, bringing home Wagner's second run of the inning, but it wasn't enough, as the Sharks held on for the win.

Eve Harvey was charged with the loss in the circle, striking out for batters in seven innings.
Game 2 Recap: LIU 6-4 Wagner
LIU once again took an early lead in the first inning, but Wagner answered immediately on an RBI single by Wolf, which brought home senior
Alexa Garcia to even the score at 1-1.
The Sharks scored two runs in the second and one in the third to re-gain the lead and added one in the sixth to make it 5-1, but the Seahawks fought back.
In the bottom of the sixth, a sacrifice fly by sophomore
Justine Carranza and a two-run double by graduate student
Makenzie Miller got the Seahawks within a run at 5-4.
The Sharks added an insurance in the seventh to re-establish a two-run lead. Wagner brought the tying run to the plate in the bottom of the seventh, but couldn't convert, as LIU earned the doubleheader sweep.
The Seahawks tallied eight hits in game two, as Vogler led the way with two hits in the contest.
