Philadelphia, PA - Wagner College men's track & field junior Jason Marchese has broken his own 400M hurdles record with a time of 51.93 at the Penn Relays on Thursday evening.
This is Marchese's third school record this season, and he holds two current Wagner College Outdoor Track & Field records.
Marchese previously broke the 400M hurdles record on April 15th by recording a time of 52.13 at the Bison Outdoor Classic. Marchese dethroned Josiah Cadet who earned a 52.34 mark at the 2021 NEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Marchese first etched his name into the record books by running a 21.55 200M dash at the George Mason Invite on April 9th.
At the Penn Relays, the Staten Island native finished the 400M hurdles in eighth place overall, out of thirty possible participants.
Marchese will be joined by fellow Seahawks Ryan Lane, Kharlin Watkins, and Julio Martinez as they will compete during day two of the Penn Relays. Lane will represent Wagner in the long jump, Watkins in the high jump, and Martinez in the pole vault.
Next week, Wagner men's track & field will travel to New Britain, CT for the NEC Outdoor Championships, meanwhile, the women's track & field team will head to North Andover, MA for their NEC Outdoor Championships, both events will be held on Saturday, May 6th and Sunday, May 7th.
