Lexington, VA – The Wagner College women's water polo team moved to 8-0 in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play with three wins this weekend

Wagner opened the weekend with a 24-8 win over St. Francis Brooklyn. The Seahawks put a stamp on the contest in the first quarter as they outscored the Terriers 5-0. The Green & White tallied five or more goals in all four quarters of the contest and didn't allow any more than four in each frame.
Graduate student
Malia Josephson tallied a team-high five goals as 12 different goal scorers contributed for the Green & White.
Wagner earned its second win of the weekend with a 21-11 win over Siena as Wagner had nine different goal scorers find the back of the net against the Saints.
Against Siena, sophomore
Carlota Alonso led the way offensively with five goals and three assists while freshman
Magali Ogg tallied three goals and three assists. Freshman
Martina Parisi also chipped in three goals and one assist against Siena.
In the final game of the weekend, Wagner defeated Mount St. Mary's 16-6 behind a strong first half. The Seahawks outscored the Mountaineers 10-2 through the first 16 minutes. Wagner went on to outscore Mount St. Mary's 6-4 in the second half to preserve the victory.
With the three wins this weekend, Wagner improves to 25-5 overall and 8-0 in MAAC play.
Wagner will play its penultimate weekend of the regular season at Villanova next weekend. First, Wagner will take on Marist on Friday, April 7 before taking on Iona on Saturday, April 8.
