Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College men's lacrosse team dropped a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) contest to Mount St. Mary's, 10-7, on Saturday at Hameline Field.
The Mountaineers opened the game on a 4-0 before graduate student
Jack Brady got on the board for Wagner. Mount St. Mary's added two more goals in the first to take a 6-1 lead into the second quarter.
Jack Brady opened the scoring in the second quarter with his second tally of the game before Mount St. Mary's found the back of the net. Wagner launched a 2-0 run behind freshman
Jake Mitchell and
Jack Brady to cut the Mountaineers lead to 7-4. The Mount added one more goal in the second quarter to take an 8-4 lead into halftime.
Wagner outscored Mount St. Mary's 2-1 in the third quarter behind goals from senior
Benjamin Stewart and sophomore
Ethan Sieb.
Both teams tallied one goal in the fourth quarter as sophomore
Patrick Caldwell tallied the Wagner goal.
Jack Brady tallied a hat trick on seven shots while
Jake Mitchell,
Ethan Sieb and
Patrick Caldwell each tallied one goal and one assist.
Wagner will be back in action on Wednesday, March 29 when travel to Brookville, NY to take on LIU at 3:00 pm.
