Men’s Basketball Completes Furious Comeback Before Falling 64-62 In Overtime At St. Francis Brooklyn

Brooklyn, NY – Junior DeLonnie Hunt's long three at the buzzer completed a 19-point comeback to send the game to overtime, but it wasn't enough, as the Wagner College men's basketball team suffered a 64-62 loss at St. Francis Brooklyn on Thursday afternoon.

The Terriers led 45-26 with 11:53 to play in the second half, before the Seahawks started their comeback. Trailing 54-45 with 3:18 to play, a basket by senior Brandon Brown and consecutive threes by freshman Julian Brown and sophomore Javier Ezquerra cut the deficit to just one at 54-53 with 1:06 to play.

Following a pair of Terrier free throws with three seconds to play, Hunt dribbled across midcourt and tied the game from long range to send the game to overtime.

In the extra period, the Terriers outscored the Seahawks 8-6 to earn the victory.

Brandon Brown led three Seahawks in double figures with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Hunt and Ezquerra added 11 and 10 points, respectively.

The Terriers held a 42-35 advantage on the glass and 14-12 edge in assists.
