Baltimore, MD – The Wagner College men's lacrosse team earned its first win of the 2023 season with a 13-9 victory over Queens College on Saturday.
Graduate student CH Sweitzer got the Seahawks off and running with a goal 89 seconds into the contest before Queens opened up a 3-1 goal run. The Seahawks battled back in the first quarter with a 3-1 run as well. Senior

Smith Callaghan netted goals to give Wagner a 4-3 lead after the first quarter.
The second quarter followed the same script of the first quarter as both teams tallied two goals each.
CJ Sweitzer and
Benjamin Stewart tallied their second goals of the game as Wagner took a 6-5 lead into halftime.
Wagner put a stamp on the contest in the third quarter as they outscored Queens 4-1 behind goals from sophomore

Wagner carried its momentum in the final quarter with three goals.

CJ Sweitzer finished with a team-high four goals as senior goalkeeper
Danny Brady stopped 11 shots in the win. Along with Sweitzer,
Benjamin Stewart tallied a hat trick in the win.
Wagner will be back in action on Tuesday, February 28 when they welcome Monmouth to Hameline Field at 2:30 pm.
