Men’s Lacrosse Falls At #25 Army

West Point, NY – The Wagner College men's lacrosse team dropped a non-conference contest 20-6 at Army on Tuesday afternoon.

After the Black Knights jumped out to a 2-0 lead, Wagner outscored Army 4-1 in the final 12:07 of the opening frame. Sophomore Conor Julich, senior Brendan Higgins, senior Benjamin Stewart and graduate student Jack Brady contributed goals in the opening quarter.

In the second quarter, Army outscored Wagner 8-0 after Wagner took a 5-3 lead on the second goal of the game from Stewart. Army took an 11-5 lead into halftime.

In the third quarter, despite being outscored 7-0, senior goalkeeper Danny Brady stopped his 400th career shot as a member of the Wagner men's lacrosse program.

Wagner added a goal in the fourth quarter as graduate student captain CJ Sweitzer tallied his second goal of the season.

Benjamin Stewart led the way for Wagner offensively with two goals and six shots while Brendan Higgins tallied one goal and a team-high three caused turnovers.

Danny Brady ended the day with 17 saves in the contest.

The Seahawks will be back in action when they take on Queens College at Goucher College in Baltimore, MD on Saturday, February 25 at 12:00 pm.
