Emmitsburg, MD | Lewisburg, PA - The Wagner men's water polo team competed against two Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) opponents on Saturday. 
The Seahawks would split the two games, ending the day with a conference record of 3-3, and an overall record of 9-10.
 
Game 1 Results: Wagner 16 - Mount St. Mary's 11
Sophomore Eliot Alvarez got the ball rolling for Wagner in the first quarter, netting the first goal of the afternoon. Junior Andrew Cowie then broke the 1-1 tie, as the captain would score two in the opening frame. Fellow captain Ben Zovickian and senior Ryan Lanier also tallied goals before the end of the quarter. The Seahawks would lead after one, 5-2. Senior Zsombor Gyemant scored the first goal of the second quarter. After a few Mountaineer goals, junior Kyle Chambers would grant the Green & White the lead back, 8-7, scoring two straight before the first half expired.
 
Wagner scored five goals in the third quarter, extending their lead to 13-11 over Mount St. Mary's. Chambers would add two more to his total, earning himself his second straight four-goal game. Alvarez added his second of the contest, as sophomore Laszlo Strasser and junior Mattia Bognolo both found the back of the net in the frame, scoring their first of the game. In the final quarter, the Seahawks would shut out the Mountaineers, while also adding three goals. Alvarez and Cowie both came away with their third of the game, with junior Luis Camino Sosa tacking on the last goal with 1:47 to play, to give Wagner a 16-11 victory.
 
In goal, graduate student Djordje Stoiljkovic saved 11 shots to help the Seahawks secure the win.
 
Game 2 Results: Wagner 10 - Bucknell 13
Wagner trailed Bucknell after the opening frame, 4-3. Chambers, Lanier, and Strasser were responsible for the three goals of the quarters. Bognolo would then add two more to the Seahawks' total, tying the game 5-5 with one minute left in the half. The Green & White would head into the second half trailing, 7-5.
 
Andrew Cowie would score the first goal of the third for Wagner, with junior Kristian Stanczewski contributing to the scoring column a minute and a half later. The Seahawks would go into the final frame down 10-7. Wagner and Bucknell would both score three goals in the final quarter. Chambers and Strasser both netted their second of the contest in the final frame. Camino Sosa would score his second straight fourth-quarter goal, as Wagner would fall to Bucknell, 13-10.
 
Next up, Wagner will travel to Cambridge, MA for the Harvard Invite from Saturday, October 14 to Sunday, October 15.
