Staten Island, NY - The Wagner College men's water polo team earned their third Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference win of the weekend with a 15-13 victory over Bucknell. Prior to the event, Wagner honored its two graduate students and four seniors.Â
The Seahawks improved their overall record to 15-11, with a Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) record of 6-3. The Green & White swept their conference opponents this weekend, earning three victories at the Spiro Sports Center against Mount St. Mary's, George Washington, and Bucknell.Â

Game Results: Wagner 15 - Bucknell 13
Wagner jumped out to a 5-2 lead after one quarter of play. Senior Barnabas Vidovics scored the first goal of the game, and would find the back of the net once again in the frame less than one minute later. Junior Mattia Bognolo, junior Luis Camino Sosa, and senior Ryan Lanier were responsible for the rest of the Seahawks goals. The Green & White would extend their lead heading into the half, outscoring the Bison 4-1 in the second quarter. Seniors led the way on their day, Vidovics completed his hat-trick as Lanier added his second in the frame. Zsombor Gyemant joined the scoring column, in the middle of the quarter, to bring Wagner's first half goal total to nine.Â
Sophomore Laszlo Strasser was the first to score for Wagner in the second half. As time expired in the third, Vidovics sniped his fourth goal of the contest, lifting the Seahawks to a 11-7 lead prior to the final frame. In the fourth, Gyemant scored his second of the game, as Bognolo put away two for Wagner. With Wagner holding a 14-13 lead, Strasser fired a shot past the Bucknell keeper to bring the Seahawks to a two point win on Senior Day.
