Bronx, NY – The Wagner men's water polo team dropped a Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) contest to Fordham 14-9.
The Rams put a stamp on the contest in the opening quarter as they outscored the Seahawks 5-2 in the frame. Freshman
Laszlo Strasser and sophomore
Andrew Cowie scored one goal each for Wagner in the quarter.
Fordham shutout Wagner in the second quarter as they scored three goals to take a 8-2 advantage into the halftime intermission.
In the third quarter, Wagner tallied three goals as sophomore
Angelo Zaina got on the score sheet and
Laszlo Strasser netted two goals to complete his hat trick in the contest.
With Fordham holding a 10-5 lead heading into the fourth quarter,
Laszlo Strasser tallied two goals to bring his game total to five. Along with Strasser, junior
Barnabas Vidovics tallied one goal along with junior Zsombor Gyémánt.
The Seahawks will return to action on Saturday, October 1 when they continue conference play at George Washington at 7:00 P.M.
