Playoff Picture
The 2022 NEC tournament field is set as Bryant claimed the regular season title, Mount St. Mary's claimed second place, the Seahawks took third place, and LIU rounds out the four teams in the tournament. Bryant will take on LIU while Wagner and Mount St. Mary's will battle in a 2021 championship rematch.

The same four teams competed in the NEC tournament last season as Mount St. Mary's prevented the Seahawks from its third consecutive championship.

Wagner has also reached the NEC title game in every season since 2014 while claiming a championship in 2016, 2018, and 2019.

During Wagner's run to seven consecutive championship games, they finished second in the regular season in 2021, 2019, 2018, 2016, 2015, and 2014. Wagner entered the 2017 NEC tournament as the #3 seed. In 2014, the Seahawks entered the season picked seventh in the preseason poll and claimed second in the regular season and earned a trip to the conference championship game.

Since 2014, the preseason #1 has won the regular season championship five times: Bryant claimed all five from 2014-2018 and Bryant was the lone preseason #1 to win the NEC tournament as they did it four times from 2014-2017.
