Staten Island, NY- The Wagner men's lacrosse team dropped a 9-5 decision to Mount St. Mary's on Saturday at Hameline Field.

Benjamin Stewart and
Aidan Clark both had two-goal games, while
Stephen Dwyer added a goal for the Seahawks. Goalkeeper
Danny Brady made 14 saves. Wagner is now 3-7 (1-4 NEC) this season.

Clark opened the game's scoring with his 19
th goal of the year. Stewart tallied the assist.

The Mountaineers then scored four straight goals to close out the opening quarter, two coming from Brendan Lantieri to give Mount a 4-1 lead.
Stephen Dwyer was able to cut Mount's lead in half with 12:36 remaining in the half with his 18
th goal of the season. Wagner trailed 4-2 at the break.

Mount opened the second half with two more goals from Lantieri to take a 6-2 lead. Wagner then capitalized on a Stewart man-up goal. Clark recorded the assist.

The Mountaineers answered with a Jared McMahon goal to keep it a four-goal game. Clark then found the back of the net for his team-leading 20
th goal of the season to make it a 7-4 game with just under three minutes left in the third quarter.

Less than two minutes in to the final 15 minutes of play, Jared McMahon scored his second goal of the game to give Mount an 8-4 lead. Connor McMahon then added Mount's final goal of the game, making it 9-4.

Stewart netted his second goal of the game with 5:51 remaining to close out the scoring on the afternoon.

The Seahawks host Merrimack next Saturday at Hameline Field for senior day. Faceoff is set for 12:00 p.m.
