Santa Barbara, CA – The Wagner College softball team earned a 5-0 shutout victory over Santa Clara as part of a split on day two of the Seahawks' road trip to California.
In the first game of the day, Wagner fell 12-0 to UCSB.

Wagner got off to a fast start in game two, as freshman

In the fourth inning, the Seahawks added to their lead in a big way. An RBI single by freshman
Brooke Wood doubled the Seahawks' lead, making it 2-0.

Keaghan Ward came through with the bases loaded, as her RBI double cleared the bases to make it 5-0.

Scarlett Lloyd earned the complete game victory for her first victory of the season. Lloyd only allowed four hits, while striking out six. Offensively, the sophomore led Wagner with two hits, as the Seahawks combined for six hits.

Bianca Worthy, Russ, and junior
Alexa Garcia all recorded hits.
UCSB scored five runs in the second inning, three in the third, and five in the fourth inning to earn the victory.
