Somerset, NJ - On Thursday, following the morning session of the 2022 Northeast Conference (NEC) Championship, the league office announced the 2021-22 All-Conference recipients.

Freshman Kristina Colon, who became the first-ever Seahawk to win a weekly conference honor after taking home the final Rookie of the Week award for the 2021-22 season, continues to etch her name in program lure as she becomes the first-ever Seahawk to garner All-NEC honors, as the Brooklyn, NY native was named to the All-Rookie Team.

"Winning a conference award as an individual is no small task in the Northeast Conference (NEC) and I am thrilled that Kristina was voted to the All-Rookie Team by the league's head coaches," commented head coach Joseph Ambrose"This is the first of many conferences award I envision for us as we continue to build our program."

Earlier this season at the Wagner College Winter Invite, Colon, along with teammate America Carhart, earned All-Tournament team honors, as Colon placed fourth overall with a total pinfall of 878 (175.60).

At the Northeast Roundup, hosted by Wilmington University, Colon was the league's top-scoring rookie with a 19.15 frame average. She paced Wagner's efforts with a 197.60 traditional average, which included match scores of 240 and 226, good for eighth place in the individual standings. Over the course of the weekend, Colon boasted a fill rate of 82.0 percent.

Joining Colon on the All-Rookie team included LIU's Sydney Binkley and Duquesne's Morgan Brookover while Sacred Heart had two recipients in Rachel Glowniak and Nancy Kohut.

Duquesne's Olivia Farwell was named the 2021-22 NEC Bowler of the Year while Glowniak earned Rookie of the Year honors. For the fifth time in her coaching career, Sacred Heart's head coach, Becky Kregling was named Coach of the Year.

Farwell and Glowniak highlight the First Team honorees and were joined by Rebecca Dodson (Mount St. Mary's), Jenna Henderson (FDU), and Hannah Manetta (Sacred Heart). On this year's Second Team, FDU had two bowlers named to the list in Amanda Chrzanowski and Julianna Spina. Sacred Heart's Colby Jones, Duquesne's Shannon Small, and Mount St. Mary's Tamera Stanton rounded out the list.
