Geneva, OH- For the second straight day Ellie Eastwood won a gold medal, hitting the wall first at 2:17.17 in the 200 Yard Breaststroke finals on day five of the NEC Championships.
Eastwood also won the preliminaries in the 200 Yard backstroke, touching the wall at 2:19.11.
Meliti Efthimiou placed third in the 3 Meter Diving prelims, posting a score of 214.50. In the finals, the sophomore finished fourth with a score of 213.40.
The Green & White finish the NEC Championships in fourth place in the overall rankings with 412.5 points. Bryant won the NEC Championships with 746 points. Central Connecticut State came in second place with 721 points followed by LIU in third with 418.
Wagner's 400 Yard Freestyle Relay team touched the wall fourth with a time of 3:30.19.
Annie Jencova qualified in the 100 Yard Freestyle, posting an eighth-place finish in the prelims and a time of 52.29. In the finals, she finished seventh with a time of 52.18.
Also qualifying for the 100 Yard Freestyle were
Kate Wilkerson,
Abbie Hassell, and
Mary Tsianaka. In the consolation finals, Wilkerson and Hassell finished seventh and eighth, respectively. Tsianaka finished seventh in the C Final.
Shamiya Guirre touched the wall eighth in the 200 Yard Backstroke preliminaries with a time of 2:04.05.
Bree Anderson also qualified in the event, finishing 16
th with a time of 2:07.39. In the finals, Guirre finished tied for sixth place with a time of 2:03.39. Anderson swam in the consolation final and finished in eighth place.
Emma White earned the final qualifying spot in the 200 Yard Backstroke prelims. In the C Final, she finished sixth with a time of 2:10.49. Saturday's events conclude the 2021-22 season.
