Durham, NH – The Wagner College women's basketball team dropped a non-conference contest at New Hampshire on Monday night.
The Wildcats outscored the Seahawks 18-5 in the opening quarter as redshirt junior
Alex Cowan and fifth year senior
Kem Nwabudu tallied the lone two buckets for Wagner in the frame.
In the second quarter, New Hampshire outscored Wagner 9-7 as
Alex Cowan led all Wagner scorers with three.
At halftime, the Wildcats held a 27-12 advantage over the Seahawks.

Wagner fought back in the third quarter as they brought the New Hampshire lead down to nine on an
Alex Cowan steal and layup with 3:15 remaining in the quarter. New Hampshire went on to end the quarter up by 17.
Wagner tallied 29 points in the fourth quarter as
Alex Cowan led the way with 14 points while going 8-8 from the free throw line.
As a team, Wagner shot 8-16 from the floor and 4-9 from three-point range in the fourth and brought the New Hampshire lead down to six.
Wagner's late push was not enough as the Seahawks fell 64-58.
Alex Cowan led the way with 22 points, seven rebounds and two assists while sophomore
Lina Loceniece also scored in double figures with 10 points with two three-pointers made.
Wagner tallied 21 steals in the contest and forced 34 New Hampshire turnovers.
Wagner will take on Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) member Syracuse on Sunday, December 11 at 2:00 pm.
