Newark, NJ – The Wagner College men's basketball team suffered an 82-44 loss at Big East member Seton Hall at the Prudential Center on Sunday afternoon.
Junior
Rahmir Moore led the Seahawks with 15 points, while junior
DeLonnie Hunt added seven points.
Trailing by double digits early on, the Seahawks put together and 8-0 run, capped by a Hunt layup, to cut the deficit to 23-15 with 4:50 to play in the first half.
With time winding down in the period, sophomore
Rob Taylor II converted on a tough basket in the lane, before a Moore three at the buzzer got the Seahawks within 35-22 at the half, but it wasn't enough, as the Pirates pulled away in the second half for the victory.
With the loss, Wagner sits at 3-2 five games into the season, while Seton Hall improves to 3-1 on the year.
Next up, the Seahawks will travel to NJIT on Sunday, November 27, with tip-off set for 2:00 pm.
