Staten Island, NY – The Wagner men's water polo team earned a Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) victory over Mount St. Mary's.
Prior to the contest, the Seahawks honored its four seniors.

Wagner put a stamp on the contest in the opening frame when they outscored Mount St. Mary's 8-2. The Seahawks began the game on a 5-0 run before the Mountaineers got on the score sheet.
In the second frame, the Seahawks continued its dominance as they outscored the Mountaineers 4-0. Freshman 
Laszlo Strasser led the way for Wagner with five goals in the first half while sophomore goalkeeper 
Adam Wuthrich stopped eight shots as Wagner took a 12-2 lead into the second half.
 
In the third quarter, the Mountaineers chipped away at the Wagner lead as they outscored the Seahawks 8-4 as the game went to the final quarter with Wagner holding a 16-10 advantage.
The Seahawks outscored the Mountaineers 4-3 in the final quarter as they went on to take a 20-13 victory.
Wagner will continue conference play when they travel to Emmitsburg, MD to take on Mount St. Mary's on November 5 at 7:00 P.M.
