Annapolis, MD – The Wagner men's water polo team earned its first Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) victory of the season with a 15-14 win over Navy.
In a high-scoring first quarter, the two sides combined to score nine goals as Wagner took a 5-4 lead into the second quarter. Senior Olivér Fodor, sophomore

Laszlo Strasser each scored one goal for Wagner. Sophomore
Angelo Zaina tallied two goals in the opening frame.
Navy outscored Wagner 3-2 in the second quarter to take one goal lead into halftime,
Laszlo Strasser tallied both Wagner goals in the second.
In the third quarter,
Laszlo Strasser led the Wagner attack with three goals while Olivér Fodor and senior
Shaked Yacoby tallied one goal each. Wagner took a 12-11 lead into the final eight minutes.

Barnabas Vidovics each scored.
Laszlo Strasser led the Wagner attack with six goals and three assists while Olivér Fodor netted a hat trick and drew six exclusions.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Adam Wuthrich stopped stopped nine shots in the victory.
The victory over Navy is the first MAWPC victory for first-year head coach
Josh Hower.
Wagner will continue conference play next weekend when they travel to Morgantown, WV for four games in two days from October 8 to October 9.
