Bronx, NY - The Wagner men's water polo team split two Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference games on Saturday.

Wagner (17) vs. Johns Hopkins (6)
Wagner put a stamp on the contest in the first quarter when they outscored Johns Hopkins 5-0 in the opening frame.

The Blue Jays battled back in the second quarter as they scored three goals but Wagner kept the foot on the gas as they tallied six goals in the frame to take a 11-3 lead into halftime.

Wagner continued its momentum in the second half as they scored five more goals while Johns Hopkins tallied two goals as Wagner took a 16-5 lead into the final frame.

Wagner tallied one goal in the final frame to preserve a 17-6 victory in its first meeting against Johns Hopkins this weekend.

Wagner (8) vs. George Washington (11)

The Seahawks took on the Colonials for the second time this season.

The teams traded five goals in the first quarter as George Washington tallied three goals and Wagner found the back of the net twice.

The second quarter followed suit as the Colonials outscored Wagner 3-2 and took a 6-4 lead into halftime.

With the Colonials holding the lead, they outscored the Seahawks 4-3 to take a 10-7 lead into the final eight minutes.

Both teams tallied one goal each in the fourth quarter as George Washington held on for the victory.

Wagner will be back in action on Sunday, October 16 when they welcome Johns Hopkins and LIU to the Spiro Sports Center.
