Staten Island, NY – The Wagner men's basketball team's game against Sacred Heart, scheduled for Saturday, January 8, has been cancelled, the Northeast Conference (NEC) announced on Thursday.
 
The Pioneers are unable to compete due to COVID protocols, necessitating the cancellation. 
 
Per the NEC's Cancellation and Forfeit Policy, the game will be deemed a forfeit. Wagner will be assigned a win in the conference standings. By NCAA policy, forfeits will not change a team's official win-loss record, nor will they impact statistics or coaching records.
