Cambridge, MA – The Wagner men's water polo team continued The Bruno Classic on the campus at Harvard University on Sunday, winning one of their two matches, finishing the two-day event 1-4.

The Green & White began the day playing the host Crimson. For the fourth straight game, the Seahawks struck first, as junior Oliver Fodor continued his strong weekend with an early goal before senior
Vuk Bulajic doubled Wagner's lead. Harvard eventually battled back throughout the seesaw opening frame as freshman Andrej Bosica tallied a first quarter hat trick. Wagner carried a 5-4 lead into the second quarter.
The back and forth battle continued, as Harvard junior Alex Tsotadze gave the Crimson a 7-6 lead with 5:16 remaining in the first half, their first lead of the contest. Goals from Fodor and junior
Shaked Yacoby brought the game to an 8-8 stalemate heading into the break. Wagner went 4-for-8 on man advantages, while Harvard went 1-for-3. Sophomore Zsombor Gyemant and Fodor finished the first 16 minutes with a pair of goals apiece.
The second half began with Harvard scoring two goals in the first forty-six seconds including one from Andrej Basica, who would finish with seven goals. Fodor completed his hat trick to cut the Crimson lead to 10-9, but that's the closest Wagner got the rest of the way, as Harvard outscored Wagner 8-4 in second half. A key factor was the play of Crimson junior goalkeeper Noah Hodge, who had 21 blocks in the contest to keep Harvard in front. Fodor continued his strong weekend with five goals; Gyemant finished with two goals and three assists.

In the final game of The Bruno Classic, Wagner came out and dominated the MIT Engineers. They led 5-3 after the first behind two goals from Gyemant.
Mattia Bognolo made the game 5-3 with 0:12 seconds remaining in the quarter, the first of seven straight from Wagner, which included two goals from Gyemant and two from Bulajic. The Green & White took a 11-5 lead into the break behind four goals from Gyemant, four goals from Bulajic, and two goals from Fodor.
The dominant first half was enough for the Seahawks as both teams tallied four goals in the second half. Fodor tallied three more goals to finish the game with five, leading the Wagner attack.
The Seahawks will travel to Princeton, NJ for the Princeton Invite this upcoming weekend where they will play three games. They open against California Baptist on Friday, Sept. 10 at 3:30 P.M. and Iona College at 8:30 P.M. before playing the hosts Princeton University on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 10:30 A.M.
