Field Hockey Extends Win Streak To Three With 4-1 Triumph Over Quinnipiac

Staten Island, NY –
Behind two goals from senior Agustina DeHarbe, the Wagner College field hockey team extended its winning streak to three after posting a 4-1 triumph over Quinnipiac at the Wagner College Field Hockey Complex on Sunday afternoon.

After both teams played to a stalemate after the first quarter, Wagner took control of the contest, scoring two goals in a span of twenty seconds.

Sophomore Emma Brushingham netted her first goal of the season after receiving the cross from senior Julia Cruces Pastorino
Deharbe went on the break and fired off a shot past Quinnipiac's keeper to double the Seahawks' lead.

The Bobcats cut into the lead, 2-1, four minutes into the second half when Emilia Massarelli found the back of the net for the fourth time this season on a pass from Stella Tegtmeier.

Wagner recorded its third goal of the contest as freshman Liselotte Koop scored her third goal of the year off a layoff from junior Sara Nelson on the penalty corner feed from sophomore Natalie Rocuskie.

The Green & White put the game out of reach on Deharbe's second tally of the afternoon with twenty seconds remaining in regulation, increasing the lead to 4-1.
Senior Daisy Ruhle and sophomore Erin Franklin combined to make 10 saves on the day while Pastorino and Rocuskie each tallied five shots and one assist in the win.

For Deharbe, she has scored a goal in back-to-back games while Koop has registered at least one goal in three straight games.
The Seahawks open Northeast Conference (NEC) action on the road, as they will head to Loretto, Pennsylvania on Friday, October 3 to tangle with the Saint Francis U Red Flash at 3:00 p.m.
