Towson, MD – The Wagner field hockey team will travel to Towson University on Friday for a non-conference tilt scheduled for 3:00 P.M.

Last Time Out for Wagner:

  • Down 2-0 midway into the third quarter, Wagner stormed back with two goals while Julia Cruces Pastorino netted the game-winner as the Seahawks defeated the Bulldogs, 3-2. 
  • Freshman Liselotte Koop cut into Yale's lead before Sara Nelson redirected a shot from Koop to even the game at 2-2. 
  • For Koop and Nelson, it marked their first goals of the season while Koop notched her team-leading fourth assist of the season on the game-winner from Cruces Pastorino. 
 
NEC Recognition:
  • Liselotte Koop and senior goalkeeper Daisy Ruhle were named Northeast Conference (MEC) Prime Performers this week.
  • Koop picked up an assist on the lone Seahawks goal against UMass Lowell on Friday and collected two points against Yale on Sunday. 
  • Koop leads the circuit in assists. 
  • Ruhle made eight saves against UMass Lowell and picked up nine against Yale. Daisy is currently third in saves (46), second in saves per game (7.67) in the NEC.
   
About Towson:
  • The Tigers moved to 1-6 on the year after falling to the University of Pennsylvania on Sunday afternoon.
  • The Tigers' lone win of the season came at La Salle University, a 1-0 victory on Friday, September 17. 
  • Senior Paige Reese scored her first goal of the season in the lone goal of the contest.
  • The Tigers have five different goal scorers for all five of their goals this season.
  • Netminder Lena Vandam has started all four games while recording 80 saves on 96 shots faced.
 
 
Next Up For Wagner:
  • The Seahawks will close out their weekend with a home non-conference tilt against Quinnipiac University on Sunday, September 26 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wagner College Field Hockey Complex.
  • The Green & While will begin NEC play on Friday, October 1, at Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania at 3:00 P.M.
