Philadelphia, PA – The Wagner field hockey team dropped the final game of their weekend road trip, 2-0 to the La Salle Explorers. The loss drops Wagner to 0-4 on the season.
La Salle freshman Sofia Pla scored the lone goal of the contest 13:31 into the first quarter. Along with her goal, Pla led all players with seven shots in the contest. The Explorers out-shot the Seahawks 3-1 in the first quarter. The second quarter went a little better for the Seahawks as they had a couple of chances, out-shooting La Salle 2-1 in the frame. The Seahawks came out in the second half on a mission as they out-shot the Explorers 7-0 in the first 10 minutes of the quarter. Unfortunately, the chances went unconverted for the Green & White. Wagner was out-shot 3-1 in the final frame and ultimately outshot 12-11 in the contest.

The Seahawks will have the next five days off before they host UMass Lowell for their first home game in two weeks on Friday, Sept. 17 at 3:00 at the Wagner College Field Hockey Complex.
