Staten Island, NY –  The Wagner College women's soccer concludes its two game homestand on Sunday as the Seahawks host the Manhattan College Jaspers. 
 
Opening Kicks…
  • Wagner looks for its third straight win after posting a 3-0 victory against Saint Peter's on Wednesday evening at Hameline Field. 
  • Manhattan will look to bounce back after dropping its season-opener, 2-1, in overtime, against Fordham
 
All-Time Series…
  • Sunday's contest marks the 20th all-time meeting between the two New York-based schools, with Manhattan holding a 13-4-2 advantage in the head-to-head series. 
  • These two schools are meeting for the first time since August 22, 2014, where the Jaspers picked up a 2-0 victory over the Seahawks.
  • All-time, Wagner is 3-3-2 at Hameline Field against their opponents, with the Seahawks most recent victory coming on September 14, 2013, 2-1. 
 
Last Time Out For The Seahawks...
  • Wagner erupted for two goals in a three-minute span before adding a third marker midway through the first half as the Seahawks posted a dominant 3-0 win over Saint Peter's on Wednesday night. 
  • Sophomore Mia Tessier put on a stellar performance for the Green & White in her first home game at Hameline Field. The Joliette, Quebec native scored the first goal of the match and added the assist on senior tri-captain's Luisa Barone's first goal of the year.
  • Junior forward Madison Carr, the reigning Northeast Conference (NEC) Player of the Week, notched her third goal of the year in the 21st minute. 
  • Junior goalkeeper Erin Kelly posted her first clean sheet of the season, making three saves for her second win of the year.
  • Wagner out-shot Saint Peter's, 14-9, thanks to an early 8-2 advantage in the first half. The Seahawks held a 7-2 edge on corners as well.
Carr & Roe Earn Conference Weekly Honors…
  • Junior forward Madison Carr was named the Northeast Conference (NEC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week, while freshman midfielder Emma Roe was tabbed NEC Rookie of the Week.
  • This marked the first time since November 3, 2014 that a pair of Seahawks took weekly honors from the league on the same day, joining former standouts Megan Fritz and Katie Marcy, who won Player and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively.

  • The Seahawks are set to hit the road for a three-game span to kick off September. 
  • Wagner heads to nearby NJIT on Thursday, September 2 for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff in Newark, NJ.
  • From there, the Green & White will travel to Iona on Sunday, September 5 before closing out the road trip at Lehigh on Thursday, September 9. 
  • The Seahawks return home to Hameline Field on Sept. 12 as they will face UAlbany.
